University Grants Commission (Ministry of Education) 2021

Ishan Uday Scholarship Scheme:

It is a special scholarship scheme for North Eastern Region.

ObjectiveTo provide equal opportunities of higher education to the students belonging to weaker sections of society.
Scope10,000 scholarships per academic year
Eligibility1. Passed class 12th
2. Student should be domicile of North Eastern States
3. Should have taken admission in first year of any degree course
4. Income of family should not exceed 4.5 lakhs per annum
Amount of ScholarshipRs. 5400 per month for general degree courses
Rs. 7800 per month for professional degree courses

PG Indira Gandhi Scholarship for Single Girl Child

ObjectiveTo encourage post graduation education of single girl child
To enhance small family norms
EligibilityGirl student should not be more than 30 years of age
Should have taken admission in first year of PG course
Amount of ScholarshipRs. 36,200 per annum for 2 year
No. of scholarships3000 scholarships every year

Post Graduate Scholarship for University Rank holders

ObjectiveTo promote talent of students
To promote study in basic courses as it does not cover professional courses
EligibilityAge should be not more than 30 years
Scholarship is applicable on first PG degree of student
Distance education students are not considered
Only 1st and 2nd rank holders of the university are eligible for the scholarship
Amount of scholarshipRs. 3100 per month for two years
Number of scholarships3000 scholarships every academic year

Post Graduate scholarship for SC/ST students

ObjectiveTo provide financial support to SC/ST students of Post Graduation in professional subjects
EligibilityStudent should belong SC/ST category
Should have taken admission in first year of a professional PG course
Amount of scholarshipRs. 7800 per month for M.E./M.TECH.
Rs. 4500 per month for other courses
Number of scholarships1000 scholarships every year

AICTE Scholarship Schemes 2021

Pragati Scholarship Scheme for Girl Students (Degree)

ObjectiveTo empower women through technical education
Eligibility1. Girl student should be admitted in first year of technical degree course
2. Not more than 2 girl child in the family
3. Family income should not exceed Rs. 8 lakh per annum
Amount of scholarshipRs. 50,000 for 4 years (for students admitted in first year)
Rs. 50,000 for 3 years (for students admitted in second year through lateral entry)
Number of scholarships5,000 scholarships per year

Pragati Scholarship Scheme for Girl Students (Diploma)

ObjectiveTo empower girl education through technical education
Eligibility1. Girl should be admitted in first year of technical diploma course or in second year through lateral entry
2. Not more than 2 girl child in the family
3. Family income should not exceed Rs. 8 lakh from all sources
Amount of scholarshipRs. 50,000 per year for 3 years (for first year students)
Rs. 50,000 per year for 2 years (for lateral entry students)

Saksham Scholarship Scheme for Specially Abled Students (DEGREE)

ObjectiveTo support specially abled students in getting technical education
Eligibility1. Student should be admitted in first year of degree course or in second year through lateral entry.
2. Disability of the student should not be less than 40%.
3. Family income of the student should be less than Rs. 8 lakh.
Amount of ScholarshipRs. 50,000 per annum, for 4 years (for first year students)
Rs. 50,000 per annum, for 3 years (for lateral entry students)
Number of scholarshipsNo upper limit on number of scholarships.
All eligible students can avail the benefits of this scheme.

Saksham Scholarship Scheme for Specially Abled Students (DIPLOMA)

ObjectiveTo support specially abled students in getting education through technical diploma courses.
Eligibility1. Student should be admitted in first year of diploma course or in second year through lateral entry.
2. Disability of the student should not be less than 40%.
3. Family income of the student should be less than Rs. 8 lakh.
