Uttarakhand Chamoli Glacier Burst 2021 : PM Modi announced Rs. 2,00,000 ex-gratia for the next of kin for those who lost their lives in this tragic indicent. PM Modi also announced an amount of Rs. 50,000 for those who got seriously injured in the Uttrakhand tragedy near Joshimath in Chamoli district.

Today morning, around 10:45 am there occured an avalanche breakdown near Rishiganga River which caused heavy flow of water through the river. This excess water away five to six houses of the nearby village. Till the time it reached Reni village where Rishiganga meet with Dhauliganga, both the rivers got flooded.

PMO tweeted,”PM @narendramodi has approved an ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh each from PMNRF for the next of kin of those who have lost their lives due to the tragic avalanche caused by a Glacier breach in Chamoli, Uttrakhand. Rs. 50,000 would be given to those seriously injured from Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund.”

PM Modi also said that he was continuously monitoring the situation in Uttrakhand. Rescue operations are being carried out by NDRF teams, Indian Army and ITBP Teams.Home Minister Amit Shah also observed the situations at Chamoli tragedy sites.

Uttrakhand CM Trivendra Singh Rawat also declared Rs. 4,00,000 each ex-gratia to the next of kin of the deceased in this tragic flood.
